I Have a New Office/Studio!

Hello, friends! I am quickly hopping on here to let you know some big news—I now have an office and studio space in Lexington, KY (conveniently located on Main Street as you head into downtown Lexy). This has been a goal in the making, and I am thrilled to be part of this collective of artists in the Main and Walton Studio Artists group.

Happily, I am settling in just as we embark on an Open Studio Holiday Sale this upcoming Sunday and Monday:

DECEMBER 10 AND 11TH, from 3:00-7:00 pm, both days.

✨ In gratitude for supporting my ongoing art practice and newly unfolding expressive arts practice (info upcoming!), I’m offering you online access one day prior to the public release...✨

~ YOU WILL RECEIVE MY NEW WORKS IN YOUR INBOX AT 6A, EST, ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9

They will be available for your purchase directly through my provided website link JUST until NOON ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10, at which point they will be released to the public.

~ As another small token of gratitude, I will offer a 15% discount on any artwork you purchase until Sunday, Dec. 10, at noon. ❤️

I know this is a different way of releasing my work (and in quite a speedy window!), but this is the best way I could manage to honor you before opening to the public. Thanks for going with the flow in the midst of change!

I have been quite busy creating new work for several months, so there will be a variety of work available. I can’t wait to share it with you! Feel free to message me asap with any questions and I will do my best to answer them.

PIGMENT YET TO COME!

If you are close enough to attend in person, I would be delighted to see you and share my work and that of the other lovely artists— Cathy Vigor, Honora Jacob, Constance Grayson, and Linda Blumer! It will be a festive celebration of gathering, creativity, and connection. I hope to see you there!

➡️ I will send a reminder on Friday (with more snippets of what is releasing) to check your inbox Saturday morning, Dec. 9, since this is a time-limited window!

As always, I hope that this note finds you well and as peaceful, grounded, and nurtured as possible. Certainly, holidays can be a hectic and emotional time, even on the best of days. When there is such trauma actively unfolding every day, it is really beyond words how it affects us all, and it is important to take good care of ourselves and each other.

My wish is that my art brings a bit of light and joy to your days and that you find as many “glimmers” (Deb Dana) as you are able in your moments of daily living. Sending love, gratitude, and goodness to you all!

Love, Michelle ❤️

Michelle lives nestled between the hills and sky, steeped in endless inspiration gifted by nature. She is compelled to make art that embodies empowerment, which comes from inner searching, speaking one’s truth, and reaching out to connect with others. Her revolutionary method of transforming macro photography into 3-dimensional sculpture enables new beings to emerge from imagery seeking release from 2-dimensional planes, reflecting the transformative quality inherent in us, all. She thrives on getting lost in the details of nature and pushing the boundaries of her medium, combining her love of ceramics, drawing, painting, and encaustic.

Her previous career as a social worker enabled her to witness the cathartic power of art, fueling her as she continues to use art as a healing force.  Her groundbreaking work has received recognition in the national and international encaustic community, and resides in private and public national and international collections.
