Walking in the countryside where I live brings daily inspiration; these tiny stalks of color growing up through the fence line grabbed my attention with their illuminated tiny petals swaying in the breeze. When I peered down to study them, I was taken in by their subtle shades and perfect forms.
Printed onto paper and layered with molten encaustic medium, fused repeatedly between layers, meticulously carved and pigmented end-to-end, this encaustic carving was mounted onto a birch panel and framed in a custom-built frame, ready to hang on your wall.
