This gorgeous wild grass stalk was swaying in a late summer breeze on our land as I walked down the hill to the bottomland. The sun was lowering in the sky and made the fuzzy stalks glow around their edges. When I peered closely to see each 2 mm-sized seed, my lens filled with an intricate latticework pattern that brought joy to my eyes and heart. How much of the macro world exists beyond what we see as we go about our daily lives? Slowing down to see is a practice that mirrors deeper exploration of our inner lives, yielding gifts that are worth the search.
