Walking in the countryside where I live brings daily inspiration; these tiny stalks of color growing up through the fence line grabbed my attention with their illuminated tiny petals swaying in the breeze. When I peered down to study them, I was taken in by their subtle shades and perfect forms.
Printed onto paper and layered with molten beeswax and damar resin, fused repeatedly between 15 layers, meticulously carved and pigmented end-to-end, this piece was mounted onto birch panel and framed, ready to hang on your wall.
