“You Will Grow”

Flowers that filled my summer garden were carefully collected and deconstructed to gather seeds for the coming year. As my antique desk lay covered in piles of petals, I was struck by the beauty of the subtle, rich color that fed my eyes’ hunger for color and form. What a powerful reminder that our experiences continue to nourish the selves we become.

Printed onto paper and layered with molten encaustic medium fused repeatedly between layers, meticulously carved and pigmented end-to-end, this carving was mounted onto a solid hardwood panel, ready to hang on your wall.
